About JEE :

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering courses. In 2012, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has announced this common examination in place of AIEEE and IIT-JEE. JEE-Main exam is for admission in IITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), National Institutes of Technology, CFTIs (Central Funded Technical Institute) and IIEST Shibpur, for admission to its dual degree programme.

  • No negative marking in numerical answer type questions.

Part – I
Awareness of persons, places. Buildings. Materials.) Objects. Texture related to Architecture and build—environment. Visualizing three dimensional objects from two dimensional drawings. Visualizing. different sides of three dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual. Numerical and Verbal).

Part – II
Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects. building forms and elements, color texture, harmony and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms both 2D and 3D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes. Generation of Plan, elevations and 3D views of objects. Creating two dimensional and three dimensional compositions using given shapes and terms.
Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals. street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces etc.), landscape (river fronts, jungles, gardens, trees, plants etc.) and rural life.

Note: Candidates are advised to bring pencils, own geometry box set, erasers and color pencils and crayons for the Aptitude Test.
